[NOTE: Our chicken is delivered in its original wholesale packaging, a water resistant cardboard case containing three or four plastic bags of fresh chicken breasts. The smaller bags are typically sealed in a larger plastic bag. The smaller bags are not uniform in weight. There will be small amounts of naturally occurring liquids (i.e.,"chicken juice") in each bag and case. Chicken breasts typically come in double-lobed pairs ("butterfly") and will have small attached amounts of fat.]

You will pay $67.60 for 1 - 40 lb case. You can either stock your freezer with all 40 lbs or you can split with a friend.

There will be a little "prep" work when you get home as they come in 3-4 bags with in the case. If your a simplest like me, toss 2 - 4 breast butterflies in a freezer bag and label.  If you like your chicken trimmed, simply plan a little more time to prep.

I plan to do 15 lbs as 2 breast bags, 15 lbs as 4 breast bags, slice 5 lbs into strips and finally toss a few pounds into the crock pot for shredded chicken.  I will probably also toss in some marinade into some of the bags before freezing.
